In collaboration with Prof. Weian Zhao’s Lab at UC Irvine, Velox has published an article demonstrating the superior sensitivity of IC3D in liquid biopsy applications. In the publication, “An Ultrasensitive Test for Profiling Circulating Tumor DNA using Integrated Comprehensive Droplet Digital Detection” (Lab Chip, 2019), we demonstrated that the IC3D system can detect oncogenic KRAS G12D mutant alleles against a high background of genomic DNA at a sensitivity of 0.00125 – 0.005%, or 50 to 1,000x more sensitive than leading liquid biopsy ddPCR and qPCR platforms, respectively.
